3 Ways to Reboot Your Entrepreneurial MindsetWhen you started your online business you were full of enthusiasm, creativity, and the motivation to deal with every challenge that came your way. After some time in business, it’s common for some of the enthusiasm to slip away. You may find that you’re spending more time managing your business and less time doing what you love. This ebb in passion affects your motivation, your creativity and your productivity too. If you’ve felt less than joyful about your business lately, it may be time to reboot your entrepreneurial mindset. To get back to that place you were in when you first started.

1. Realize you’re in Control

One of the facets that affects the spirit is the knowledge and belief that you’re in control. If you’ve begun to feel controlled by your business or by your customers then it’s time to stop. You’re the owner of your business. You get to make any changes you want. That means you can even sell or close your business. Stand up, take a deep breath, and say aloud, “I’m in control of this business.” Now you can sit down and take a look at the next steps.

2. Discover out your weaknesses

What about your business do you find draining? What do you procrastinate on, complain about, and not look forward to? For example, if you’re a coach and you find that following up and scheduling appointments is the worst thing ever then write that down. If you’re an information marketer and you just hate formatting your products and adding graphics then write that down. Anything that stinks about your business, write it down – even if it’s a big deal. For example if you’re an affiliate marketer and you dislike creating content then write that down.

3. Find the solution to your shortcomings

Now is not the time to tell yourself you just have to live with it. You’re an entrepreneur which means you’re a creative problem solver extraordinaire. You can find a solution to this challenge. Brainstorm the possibilities. For example, if you’re the affiliate marketer who has become completely disillusioned by your niche and can’t find anything to write about there are solutions to this problem. You could hire a writer. You could start a new affiliate business, one that you are interested in.

Still stumped? Start talking with other entrepreneurs in and outside of your niche. Learn from them. Become engaged and start interacting. You may find a new sense of passion, a new business idea, or a new way to approach your business. Remember, you’re the boss.
